Our Story

It all began in 1984 with a rocking horse. At just 17 years old, Marc Michaud built one to raise money for his Grade 12 graduation and quickly received multiple orders. Encouraged by the response, he crafted a few wooden toys to sell at a local craft show and they sold out. Step by step, the hobby grew into something more. As demand increased, Marc's father Jules, a cabinetmaker and house builder, and his mother Monique joined the business full-time.

From our Humble begginnings

in rural Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan - what started as a small family venture eventually led to the entire Michaud family relocating to Ontario first to Hagersville in 1989, and then settling in Jarvis in 1994. This is where the business continues to thrive today. Over the years, all four of Jules and Monique's children have worked in the business at one time or another. Even their grandchildren have lent a hand truly making it a multi-generational family effort.

Through the process,

Now, after more than 40 years and the passing of their beloved parents, Marc and his brother Réal proudly carry on the legacy. As fourth-generation woodworkers, they lead a dedicated team of skilled craftspeople who are all proud to continue the tradition of crafting
high-quality wooden items & games that bring people together.
